So, here’s the vault…Okay, not really but it will grow in time and I hope you enjoy what you read!

This page is going be full of short stories and extracts of my written work I think you’ll enjoy so follow the links below to read some of my favourite and best pieces. Keep checking back for new additions. Feel free to give me thoughts and feedback on each page or directly.

The Honour of Dying is No Honour at All

It’s hard to believe this piece is so old! It came from an exercise in school and eventually went on to be included in my GCSE portfolio. It’s one of my favourite pieces, despite being dated. I like having it as a reference point for where I was and where I am now. I am considering rewriting it soon and seeing how much it changes but until then, enjoy!

The (Long Overdue) Journey

This was a very tricky piece to write. I’m not sure if it’s finished yet, it may need another draft or two, but I’ll see how I feel in time. I found it very hard to write about something that is still very painful but, in a way, I feel like it helped. I’ve never been in this situation exactly, although I’ve thought about it and every little thing that runs through my mind – or could do – if I was in that situation. I’d be interested in what you think about it.

Just One Shot

Writing a complete short story in just 500 words isn’t easy but I wrote this a few years back for a friend’s writing project. Unfortunately, that’s ended now but the story is good and I still like it so it’s time it made an appearance here. This story has grown a little since then, sitting at just over 620 words, but it’s more complete as a result. Can you guess what’s going on in this piece? Let me know if you do!

What do you think?
