Well, almost but who’s counting (10 days – 9 until my holidays start)? So, as you know my NaNoWriMo attempt didn’t go so well and I’ve been a bit quiet lately, dropping down to my normal routine of 2 posts per month. I like this number as I’m not pressured into writing a post – even though I do really enjoy it – and I can put more time into it. I’d love to have the freedom to do it weekly but we’ll see what 2015 brings.
What am I doing?
Well, I’ve not been slacking off…much. I’ve been diving right back into my novella. I’m well into the second draft now and I want to say a BIG thank you to my proof readers, Sami and Kat, for your time and effort. You’re comments are justified and helpful and having combined them with my own next steps, I can say everything is coming along nicely.
I’ll be working on this on and off over Xmas and hopefully have something closer to publishing standard by the New Year or shortly after. Then it comes to submission time. It might not get accepted but I’ll find another way to get it out there if not because I think it’s relevant to many people and hopefully enjoyable too!
What can we look forward to next year?
Well, I have a lot planned. I’m FINALLY going to make a start on the A Song of Fire and Ice series so I can watch the TV show, give you more insights into my writing styles and tips – I get a lot of good comments and feedback so I think I should share what I’ve learned from others and from myself – and even more book reviews, since my reading list is huge at the moment. World Hopping is still going strong too, but they’re Christmas break is also coming up.
I also have some more projects lined up for next year so it’s going to be really busy. You don’t want to miss this stuff so watch this space.
But until then
So, this is me signing off for 2014. It’s been a blast since coming to WordPress and I’m looking forward to more of the same, and better, in 2015. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Hogmanay!
See you in 2015.
